The Crane: Part 6"Sid, do you want to wait a little while? talk maybe?" Lucian asked me.
"What's over there." i asked looking at the cloud.
"i guess you could call it heaven?" he said turning to face the huge cloud.
"then what is this place that we are at now?"
"oh, this is... um. purgitory i guess? this is the same land with the forest and desert you traveled over. this is were people go when they first die. then their guardians follow them until they reach where it is they are ment to cross over."
"this is purgitory?? for some reason i thought it would look more like a dark and sad place for souls." i looked all around me and more and more guardians took their precious guarded souls.
"then who carried me to the golden gate? was it you?"
"nooo. no i couldn't do that yet. i was just protecting you. remember? i was the blanket that was wrapped around you. the person who carried you to the gate was one or your ancestors. every family line has one here in purgitory."
"really?? well, who is it? is it my gr
The Crane: Part 5it flew closer and closer. leaving a faint pink trail behind it. it was flying straight for my house.
when it got to the front yard, just before landing. it morphed into a person. a person with wings.
it walked towards my window and i could see it better. it was a boy with short, choppy hair. pink hair actually.
infact all of his clothes where different shades of pink. his scarf was a pale pink, his hoodie was a deep pink, the shirt under his hoodie was a peach color. his pants were the color of the cranes oura. hot pink.
he had sunglasses on. the frames where a clear pink and the glass was a shade of light violet.
his wings on the other hand, were the cranes wings. they were the lavendar wings that emitted the same oura as his crane form. they looked small on him.
he walked closer and closer. i noticed he was staring into my eyes. just like he had done when he was the crane.
i pressed my hands against the dusty glass and stared right back into his eyes. he kept walking towards me, nev
The Crane: Part 4crying. crying. crying. scream.
after i cried all i could. i turned to look out the window. my parents' car was no longer there.
i watched as time flew past me. the children out side moved at the speed of light as day turned to night. time went faster and faster.
the walls of my room began to turn yellow. dust collected thickly on all my precious valuables. my posters became dry and old.
day turned to night. night turned to day. weeks. months. years. time seemed to have no meaning anymore.
the cars on the streets became a blur. the grass in my yard grew tall.
my parents' car never came back.
i screamed again. everything froze. time had suddenly stopped as quickly as it had sped up.
it was daylight outside my window.
time was standing still, but time didn't affect me. i was now just a spirit in my own little hell. a hell personalized just for me.
all of what i thought was precious was now just a waste. time had gone so far as to decay and destroy all of my things. my room. my posters. m
The Crane: Part 3the crane stared at me. and i stared at it's magnificense. the oura it emitted was seeping through the bars of the gate.
leaning on the gate again i watched the crane. it watched me.
then, it fluttered it's wings and began to hop away from me. i watched it intently. it hopped a little ways then turned to face me.
still leaning on the gate, i felt a jitter. thuh thump. the gate had moved. quickly letting the golden gate go. i stepped back.
it jittered again and the crane watched me. slowly the gate began to open up away from me.
so that's why the crane moved? so the gates could open? curious.
chkang. the gates had opened all the way and stopped. the crane watched me still.
slowly i moved towards the open gates and into the light. the crane watched me. the beautiful crane watched me. the angelic crane watched me.
i stepped through the gate way. everything went black. i collapsed.
"awake yet?" whispered the crane.
i couldn't open my eyes.
fear rushed into me. i wanted so dearly to hold on
The Crane: Part 2i opened my eyes but it was still black. the cloth.
i pulled, i pushed, i tangled myself even further. finally i layed there. exhausted.
one last attempt. laying on my stomach i got onto my knees. then all fours. then finally i was able to stand.
the cloth which had turned into a fine silk fabric flowed off of me like i was oil, and it was water.
lavendar. the color of the fabric that sorrounded me. blinding light struck my eyes and everything was white.
i turned my head towards the ground to shield my eyes. looking down i saw the lavendar silk turn into the lavender crane.
it stood there looking up at me and it's hot pink oura began to pour over my feet.
the beautiful crane looked deep into my eyes and i was lost. spreading it's wings it flew away infront of me. where the light had come from. i watched it.
so beautiful was the crane. it flew off so far it became a speck on the horizon. then it disappeared all together. there was nothing in that direction.
realizing the light no longer
The Crane: Part 1when i awoke, i realized i had no idea where i was. where i was going. or how i had ended up where i was.
a forest is what i saw. i closed my eyes once more.
bah bump. bah bump. what is that noise? is it my heart? no. what is that noise?
so i opened my eyes and realized i was moving. i wasn't walking.. i was laying down. someone was moving me.
so weak i couldn't even turn my head. all i could do was watch the trees pass by all around me.
looking up at the sky through the tree tops, i could see a bird. a giant bird. it's wings were the color of lavendar and it had an oura around it that glowed hot pink.
it looked down at me and said "wake up." so i closed my eyes once more.
bah bump. bah bump. what is that noise?
bah bump.... i opened my eyes and this time there was no forest. there was no bird. there was only the sky and a single cloud in the shape of that bird. the shape was familiar and yet so far off. it was a crane and i could hear it whisper on the wind "wake up."
this time i didn
